The Macula Store is committed to delivering the highest level of eye care information, data and technologies. By providing access to the latest research and information, our objective is to increase society’s awareness of the advancements taking place in the eye industry.
With our dependency and exposure to current technological devices, lighting and display screens, a proactive approach to eye care has become critical. Research over the past decade has shown that the High Energy Visible (HEV) light being emitted from devices is extremely harmful to our eyes and subsequently overall health.
It is too early for data to determine the exact long-term effects HEV light exposure will have on the Millenials/Generation Y and Generation Z. However, we do know that it will be alarming. Industry professionals express increasing concern of a future epidemic of blindness.
As the data continues to be revealed we will post accordingly.
The latest advances in research have made great strides in:
- Identifying preventable factors that lead to age related blindness.
- Developing medicines, supplements, and technologies to reduce the risk of blindness and restore vision.
- Understanding the lifestyle changes that will slow down the aging process of the eyes.
